What is 4-H?
4-H is part of the University of Georgia's Cooperative Extension in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.4-H helps young people acquire knowledge, develop life skills, and form attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing members of society through "hands-on" learning experiences.
The emblem is a four-leaf clover with the letter "H" on each leaf. The letters in the emblem represent; Head, Heart, Hands and Health.
"To make the best better"
"I pledge my head to clearer thinking,
my heart to greater loyalty,
my hands to larger service,
and my health to better living
. . . for my club, my community, my country and my world.
Volunteers are a very important part of our 4-H Program. For more information on becoming a volunteer contact our office.
