This book contains the latest U.S. Department of Agriculture recommendations for safe food preservation. So Easy To Preserve is now a 375-page book with over 185 tested recipes, along with step by step instructions and in-depth information for both the new and experienced food preserver. Chapters include Preserving Food, Canning, Pickled Products, Jellied Fruit Products, Freezing and Drying.
ServSafe® Training
The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension has joined forces with the Georgia Restaurant Association to provide Georgia's food service industry with the best in food safety training. The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension has 33 county-based educators in Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) who teach ServSafe® workshops in various locations throughout the state. These Extension agents are members of the University's Public Service faculty and have obtained ServSafe® food protection manager certification. Extension has been offering ServSafe® manager and employee certification programs throughout the state since 1997.
