Meriwether 4-H Youth Development:
4-H Club Meetings

5th Grade 4-H Meetings

4-H holds monthly club meetings in the 5th grade classrooms at Flint River Academy, George E. Washington Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, and Unity Elementary. These meetings are held during the school day for one class period. An Agri-Science curriculum correlated to the Georgia Performance Standards is used for club meetings.

All 5th graders in the county are enrolled as Cloverleaf members of Meriwether County
4-H. 4-H'ers will bring home monthly newsletters with information about upcoming activities.

Any 5th grader that does not attend these schools but is interested in participating in 4-H activities should contact the 4-H Office.

Middle School 4-H Meetings

Middle School meetings are held at Greenville Middle, Manchester Middle, and Flint River. These meetings are held montly during the school day and are optional.

Students interested in being 4-H members will need to sign-up with their teacher coordinator to be eligible to attend meetings. 4-H'ers will bring home monthly newsletters with information about upcoming activities.

Any middle school youth that does not attend these schools but is interested in participating in 4-H activities should contact the 4-H Office.

Special Interest Clubs

Horse Club: Open to youth from 1st-12th grade. Members do not have to own a horse to participate. Meets 3rd Monday of each month from 6:00-7:00 pm and one weekend a month. Meetings are held in Woodbury. Contact Extension Office for information on meeting location.

Shotgun Team: Open to youth in 7th-12th grade. Practices begin in March.
