Hay bale fertilizer value calculator

Hay prices are likely to continue to rise over the next several months. Hay supply is very tight, not just in Georgia but across the southern US from NC to AZ. Peanut hay supplies are the big wild card for us, but with a lot of drought-stressed peanuts out there, I don't think that is going to help us as much as it did in 2007.

Walk Georgia is a free program open to adults, youth, families, schools, community organizations and employers. University of Georgia Morgan County Cooperative Extension invites you to spend ten weeks increasing Walk Georgia your physical activity level in a fun, community-oriented way.

Morgan County's Bobby Smith, Ag. & Natural Resources Cooperative Extension Agent, wins 2011 National Association of County Agricultural Agents Distinguished Service Award!

Bobby Smith recently won the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA) 2011 Distinguished Service Award at the NACAA Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference in Overland Park, Kansas. This annual award is presented to the top two percent of County Agriculture Agents across the country. Bobby was recognized for his contributions in educational programming efforts to dairy farmers and 3 UGA Livestock Publications. He is active in Livestock, Forage, and Nutrient Management Programming for adults and 4-H Livestock programs for youth.

2011 Governor's Agricultural Environmental Stewardship Award state winner.

Congratulations to Everett & Carol Williams! On March 22, 2011 they were honored for their environmentally friendly farming practices at Georgia Agriculture Day in Atlanta, where Gov. Nathan Deal announced Williams and his wife, Carol, of WDairy LLC as the 2011 Governor's Agricultural Environmental Stewardship Award state winner.
