Jun 6 - Jul 31 Applications for the 2025 Northwest Georgia Master Naturalist Program are available Dallas, GA The Georgia Master Naturalist Program is a hands-on environmental education course that explores habitats and ecosystems in Georgia and human impacts on these environments. This 9 week program consists of weekly field trips with in-depth lectures from regional experts on a wide variety of environmental and ecological topics. Transportation can be arranged for limited number of participants from one of the three host counties. The program dates are every Friday in September and every Thursday in October including a overnight on Oct. 23-24. The program days are from 9:00am to 4:00pm with an hour lunch, not including drive time. Registration is complete once you have completed the online application and paid the fee in full through the Cobb County Extension Office. Space is limited in the class and registration will remain open until August 20 or when we have filled all spaces, whichever occurs first.

You will become a citizen scientist! We'll start at 9 am-Come prepared to learn about insects in the garden! We'll be outdoors for a portion of the program so dress for the weather. We'll give you an overview and help with identification and recording your observations!

Aug 27 Weed Identification in the Lawn and Garden Dallas, GA Join Master Gardeners on August 27 at 10:00 am at the Paulding County Extension office. Learn more about weed identification in your lawn and garden. This program is free, but space is limited, and registration is requested. Use the signup link below.
Sep 7 Paulding County 4-H Archery Team Information Meeting Dallas, GA Paulding County 4-H Archery Team will host their annual information meeting on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the Paulding County Parks and Recreation Complex (210 Paulding Lane, Dallas, GA 30132). The meeting will start at 3:00 pm and will last approximately one hour. The Archery Team is available to Paulding County students, to include public, private, and home school, in the grades of 5th-12th. The team is limited to 35 archers. Georgia 4-H Project SAFE uses shooting sports to teach many valuable life skills. Project SAFE (Shooting Awareness, Fun and Education) provides youth a place to develop a sense of belonging, learn teamwork in a safe environment and increase concentration skills. Safety and the responsible use of equipment is a primary goal.
Sep 10 Sprouts in the Garden with Master Gardeners Dallas, GA Sprouts in the Garden beginning at 5 pm at the Dallas Library, 1010 East Memorial Drive, Dallas, 30132 Join us for a garden themed story and activity for the young gardeners, pre-K-2nd grade.
Sep 17 Paulding County 4-H BB Team Information Meeting Dallas, GA Paulding County 4-H BB Team will host their annual information meeting on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the Paulding County Parks and Recreation Complex (210 Paulding Lane, Dallas, GA 30132). The meeting will start at 6:30 pm and will last approximately one hour. The BB Team is available to Paulding County students, to include public, private, and home school, in the grades of 4th-9th. The team is limited to 20 shooters. Georgia 4-H Project SAFE uses shooting sports to teach many valuable life skills. Project SAFE (Shooting Awareness, Fun and Education) provides youth a place to develop a sense of belonging, learn teamwork in a safe environment and increase concentration skills. Safety and the responsible use of firearms is a primary goal.
