Master Gardener Horticulture Scholarship Information

ELIGIBILITY:

Paulding County Master Gardeners Award 2010 Horticulture Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Paulding County.
Applicant must be currently enrolled in (or formally accepted at) an accredited Georgia college, university or trade school, in a degree program and taking at least 12 credits per term.
Applicant must display a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Previous student winners of this award may apply for renewal of the scholarship with proof of GPA and program of study.

VALUE OF THE AWARD:

$1000 to be used for tuition and/or fees required for enrollment, books, supplies and/or equipment required for course work in the chosen major at an accredited college, university or technical/vocational school in the state of Georgia.
Payment will be made to the student through the college/tech school’s Financial Aide office.
Funds must be used by June 1 of the next year after the award is presented.

CRITERIA:

Included must be a completed application available on-line through the Paulding County Extension Office, with 3 completed reference forms, appropriate signatures, documentation, and dates.
Student must be planning to enroll to study Horticulture, Botany, or Forestry.
Student display of Leadership qualities will be considered.
The essay on the application will be considered.
The Paulding County Master Gardener Association reserves the right not to award this scholarship if no suitable applicant is found.
Failure to meet the application deadline will result in the applicant not being considered.
A selection committee will consist of members of the Paulding County Master Gardener Association.
