HORTICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP
Application Information
ELIGIBILITY:
- Applicant must be a resident of Paulding County.
- Applicant must be currently enrolled in (or formally accepted at) an accredited Georgia college, university or trade school, in a degree program and taking at least 12 credits per term.
- Applicant must display a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Previous student winners of this award may apply for renewal of the scholarship with proof of GPA and program of study.
VALUE OF THE AWARD:
- $1000 to be used for tuition and/or fees required for enrollment, books, supplies and/or equipment required for course work in the chosen major at an accredited college, university or technical/vocational school in the state of Georgia.
- Payment will be made to the student through the college/tech school’s Financial Aide office.
- Funds must be used by June 1 of the next year after the award is presented.
CRITERIA:
- Included must be a completed application available on-line through the Paulding County Extension Office, with 3 completed reference forms, appropriate signatures, documentation, and dates.
- Student must be planning to enroll to study Horticulture, Botany, or Forestry.
- Student display of Leadership qualities will be considered.
- The essay on the application will be considered.
- The Paulding County Master Gardener Association reserves the right not to award this scholarship if no suitable applicant is found.
- Failure to meet the application deadline will result in the applicant not being considered.
- A selection committee will consist of members of the Paulding County Master Gardener Association.
