How to Join Rabun County 4-H

All youth, grades 5-12, residing in Rabun County may join 4-H. To find out more about the Rabun County 4-H program or to enroll as a 4-H member or volunteer leader, contact the Rabun County Extension Office. The phone number is (706) 782-3113.

How to become a Volunteer Leader

A person must do four things before becoming a 4-H volunteer leader. Each new volunteer leader must:

  • Complete and return an application,
  • Provide two positive references,
  • Participate in Orientation to Extension,
  • Completion of agreement form.

All leaders chaperoning youth overnight must complete the 4-H Certified Overnight Champerone training program. The Program's requirements include:

  • Above listed screening requirement met
  • Completion of the training program including viewing 4-H Certified Overnight Champeron Training Video
  • Certified Overnight Chaperone Agreement completed and signed by trainer and leader.
