SPALDING COUNTY 4-H CLUB FAIR EXHIBITS

RULES GOVERNING ENTRIES

All items shall be brought to the Kiwanis Fairgrounds, Thursday, October 1, 2009 between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. including lunch hour.

No exhibits will be accepted after 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2009 –
NO EXCEPTIONS!

All items will be judged by the Danish System of judging.  This means that the item will be judged on the quality of work you have put into making it.

       A.  Blue Ribbon Group - $3.00

       B.  Red Ribbon Group - $2.00

       C.  White Ribbon Group - $1.00

All exhibits must be of minimum quality to be considered for premiums.

All canning items must be in standard canning jars, properly sealed with clean (not sticky)
exterior.  Others will be disqualified.

All t-shirts and/or sweatshirts should be entered on hangers.

A 4-H member can enter only one item for each number listed.

Items will be properly displayed, judged and cared for; further than this, responsibility ceases.


YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR EXHIBITS AT THE FAIRGROUNDS. 

WE WILL NOT BRING THEM

TO YOUR SCHOOL AFTERWARDS

No item will be judged unless properly labeled according to the following requirements:  Name, Grade, School,item number in which to be judged AND what your item is (see example below).  All exhibitors must be current 4-H members.

All items must have been made by the 4-H member and completed since last year's fair.

Pick up items and money on Sunday, OCTOBER 18, 2009 - 4-H Club Exhibit Booth -
1:00-3:00 p.m.

We will not be responsible for items or premiums after this time.

 

SPECIAL RULES GOVERNING FOOD ENTRY ITEMS

All Baked Food items shall be brought to the 4-H Food Booth on Monday, October 12 from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.  Any entry received after this time will not be eligible to compete for prizes - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Note:  Canning exhibits are not considered a food entry.  Canning must be entered on September TBA.

All Baked Food items will be donated to the 4-H Food Booth to be sold during the week.  Winners will be posted at the 4-H Exhibit Booth after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13 .

Money will be given to the 4-H member when their non-food items are picked up at the fairgrounds between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18.  Money and exhibits cannot be picked up before that time.

All entries will be judged according to all other standards set forth in the General Rules     Governing 4-H Club Entries.
