Telfair County Extension Office:
How to join the 4-H Horse Club

General Info

  • Must be enrolled in 4-H (4th-12th grades.) Even if you are enrolled in another county 4-H program, you can join. The only restrictions are if you want to compete in State 4-H Horse Events, you have to compete with the county you are currently enrolled in.
  • Both Code of Conduct and Medical Release forms are required to attend meetings and events.
  • T-shirts are $10.00.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship is needed to insure the purpose of the Telfair County SPURS.  Our club is a nonprofit organization.  Any funds received by the club for carrying out its purpose shall not accrue to the benefit of individuals, but to the benefit of the 4-H program. Funds donated to the club are tax deductible.

There are three levels of sponsorship, bronze, silver and gold. Bronze level sponsorship requires a minimum donation of $100.  With this sponsorship you will receive an ad in the SPURS newsletter, flyers at events and an ad on the Telfair County Extension website. Silver level sponsorship requires a minimum donation of $250. With this sponsorship you will receive an ad in the SPURS newsletter, flyers, a promotional banner at events and an ad on the Telfair County Extension website. Gold level sponsorship requires a minimum donation of $500.  With this sponsorship you will receive an ad in the SPURS newsletter, flyers, a promotional banner at events and an ad on the Telfair County Extension website. Gold sponsors will also receive a radio advertisement on WOKA Dixie Country 106.7!

Please donate to help the Telfair County SPURS!  We welcome any donation large or small. Your donation will provide educational experiences, field trips and community projects. Please contact the Telfair County Extension Office for any questions.
