Testing Services
- Soil Testing
Soil samples are priced at $7.00 per sample. If the soil is the same over the area being tested, only one sample is needed in order to get an accurate result. Two cups of soil free of rocks,twigs, roots, etc., are needed for testing. The sample is made up of ten random samples taken across the area. Sample to the depth of cultivation for a garden or to a depth of four inches for a lawn. Bring the two cups of soil in a plastic baggie or other clean container to the office. You may also obtain soil sample bags from the Extension Office. Testing may take up to 10-14 days. We will mail you the results or email them if you prefer.
- Water Testing
Basic Water Test , which tests for pH, hardness, and common minerals, is priced at $15. Please bring your first draw in a clean, clear, lidded container.
