Troup County 4-H Youth Development:
Club Meetings

5th Grade 4-H Meetings

4-H holds monthly club meetings in the 5th grade classrooms at several schools in the county. These meetings are held during the school day for one class period. An Agri-Science curriculum correlated to the Georgia Performance Standards is used for club meetings.

All 5th graders in the county are enrolled as Cloverleaf members of Troup County
4-H. 4-H'ers will bring home monthly newsletters with information about upcoming activities.

Any middle school youth that does not attend these schools but is interested in participating in 4-H activities should contact the 4-H Office.

5th Grade Meeting Schedule

Middle School 4-H Meetings

Middle School meetings are held at Callaway Middle, Long Cane Middle, Dawson Street Christian Academy, and West Side Magnet. These meetings are held monthly.

Students interested in being 4-H members may attend the meetings to sign-up. 4-H'ers will bring home monthly newsletters with information about upcoming activities.

Any middle school youth that does not attend these schools but is interested in participating in 4-H activities should contact the 4-H Office.

Middle School Meeting Schedule

Homeschool Meetings

Open to youth in 4th-12th grades. 4th-6th Grade youth use a science curriculum and 7th-12th grade youth learn about and complete service projects. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month from 1:30-2:30 at the Troup County Extension Office, 900 Dallis Street.

County Council Meetings

For any youth in 6th-12th grades even if they attend another monthly meeting. County Council is an opportunity for youth to be involved in planning activities for the county 4-H program. County Council meets at the Troup County Extension Office, the third Monday of each month from 6:00-7:00 pm

Special Interest Clubs

Horse Club: Open to youth from K-12th grade. Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Agriculture Building on Vulcan Rd. Members do not have to own a horse to participate.

BB Team: Open to youth 9 years of age to 8th grade. Practices will be held between from September to April, each Thursday from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Agriculture Building on Vulcan Rd.
