Judging Teams
Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging
Learn how to become a better shopper! Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging teaches 4-H'ers how to make knowledgeable, rational decisions when purchasing goods and services. They also learn the importance of cotton as a clothing fabric.
The contest is in two parts:
1. 4-H'ers rank four classes of clothing, consumer goods, or services from "best" to "worst" based on a given situation and give reasons on their placings
2. 4-H'ers demonstrate their knowledge of cotton with a 30-second commercial (4th-8th grades) or a 90-second PSA (9th-12th grades) about cotton
Practices will begin in mid-September and the competition will be held in November.
