4-H Youth Development
What Is 4-H
"To Make The Best Better"
4-H is an educational enrichment program for boys and girls ages 9-19 that helps young people to become self-directing, productive and contributing members of society. 4-H promotes the welfare of young people -- our nation's greatest resources. It is provided through the Georgia Extension Service with the cooperation of the Troup County Commissioners, Troup County Board of Education, the University of Georgia, and the United States Department of Agriculture.
4-H members participates in a club and enroll in a project. Enrollment is through the school system in their respective school. They present demonstrations, talks, and exhibits on their project. They attend camps and special conferences and workshops.
