The University of Georgia Walton County Cooperative Extension Office extends lifelong learning to Georgia citizens through unbiased, research-based education in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth and families.  

UGA Extension operates through a unique partnership with Walton County, the University of Georgia, the State of Georgia and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Backed up by specialists and a network of resources, Extension Agents have been on the job in Georgia since 1914.

As concerns about COVID-19 grow, state and local governments in our area are being asked to practice “social distancing” by cancelling events, working remotely, and meeting virtually. Our office is following closely, with our local government recommendations as well as the local school system. We are still here to serve you, but we ask that you email or call our office to setup an appointment for the specific service you need. Thank you for understanding.

General walk-in hours Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30

Master Gardener Help Desk Tuesday 1:00 – 4:00

 

Lab Services Drop Off

  • Water Sample drop off: Monday-Wednesday 8:30-12:30
  • Soil Sample drop off: Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30. Soil samples dropped off after 12:30 will be shipped the following day.
