Junior 4-H
General Info
We have a lot of activities and events for Junior 4-H’ers this year. Some of the activities you can participate in this year include:
Georgia 4-H Junior Conference at Rock Eagle, November 5-6, 2011 – This is an awesome event to participate in. Activities include: Clovers & Co. performance, street dance, service learning projects, pop-tab collection, talent review, exhibit fair, great classes, a chance to meet new friends and much, much more.
Junior/Senior Project Achievement at Rock Eagle, February 3-5, 2012 – This event is similar to Cloverleaf Project Achievement where you prepare and give a presentation on a project that you select, however, there are a few differences. You will have to prepare a portfolio that describes your project work and the 4-H activities and community service projects you have participated in. The more 4-H activities in which you participate, the better your portfolio will be. It’s really easy to put together a “Great Portfolio” and I am here to help you. Just stop by the office after school or call to make an appointment.
Southeast District Junior Conference at Tybee Island, April 2012 – This is similar to the State Junior Conference, but it’s for our district only. It’s a fun and educational event. You will receive more information about this at your Junior 4-H Club meeting in February.
Junior Camp at Burton 4-H Center, Summer 2012 – There will be a very limited number of spaces available for this. You will receive more information about this at your Junior 4-H Club meeting in January.
Fund Raising Opportunities – We have several fund raising opportunities for you. Fund Raising helps us keep your costs down for your 4-H activities and events. You will receive more information about the current Fund Raisers you can participate in at each Junior 4-H Club meeting.
Community Service Opportunities – By participating in 4-H community service and citizenship activities, you can be active in your community and learn to give back to others. This also helps you build your portfolio for Junior/Senior District Project Achievement.
Teen Leadership Opportunities – Not only will you have leadership opportunities, but you will be recognized through the 4-H Teen Leader Recognition Program for the work you do as a leader in your community.
