White County Extension Office:
4-H & Youth Development
General Info
4-H is an educational program teaching leadership, citizenship, and practical life skills . As the youth phase of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service, its goal is to make learning FUN! Over 500 youth participate in 4-H activities. As well as being a part of White County Schools' on-campus programs, there are also many activities that take place after school and on weekends.
White County 4-H is open to children ages 9-19; Cloverleaf 4-H Clubs are made up of 5th- & 6th-grade students that meet monthly during school hours. Junior 4-H is made up of 7th- and 8th-grade 4-H'ers who meet monthly after school, where they focus on leadership issues and activity planning. Senior 4-H members (grades 9-12) also meet monthly after school where they plan activities and community service projects for White County 4-H. Our Junior and Senior 4-H'ers currently meet together.
