4-H Youth Development

Welcome to the Wilkinson County 4-H Webpage! The Wilkinson County 4-H Office is located at 114 Wriley Road across from the Windstream Telephone Company.

Mission

To assist youth in acquiring knowledge, developing lifeskills and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing citizens.

How to Join

Any youth ages 9-19 is eligible to join 4-H. All students in the 4th - 8th grades will join 4-H at the beginning of each school year. Youth in the 9th -12th grades will need to contact the 4-H office to enroll and be included on the Senior Club mailing list. Any other eligible youth may contact the Wilkinson County 4-H office to receive enrollment information. There is no fee to join 4-H; however, certain activities and events will require a fee.

4-H Events & Activities

Listed here are a few of the many 4-H activities we offer:

4-H Club Fruit Tree/Plant Sale

Contact the 4-H Office for an order form, ordering and pick up information. plants can be ordered until February 10, 2012.

Your purchase of these plants will help the 4-H’ers in this county go to camp, State Council, Junior and Senior conferences and other 4-H activities and events.

Project Achievement

Junior and Senior Project Achievement

Portfolios are due in the 4-H Office by January 5 , 2012. District Project Achievement will be February 3-5, 2012.

Cloverleaf Project Achievement

Project Achievement will be March 24, 2012.

Summer Camp

Cloverleaf Camp is July 9-13, 2012 at Fortson 4-H Center in Hampton, GA.

Junior Camp is June 27, 2011 through July 1, 2011 at Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island, GA
