Chalwe is working on a doctoral degree in agronomy at the University of Zambia in Lusaka. His research involves modeling preharvest conditions to predict aflatoxin development. By knowing the risk of aflatoxin based on rain, temperature and other conditions, producers might be able to make more informed decisions about interventions.
