2011

The first annual CAES International Day program was held on April 28th, 2011 in the Fireside Lounge in Rooker Hall of the East Campus Village.

Dr. Hiram Larew, Director, Center for International Programs, USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), was the keynote speaker for this event.

Several students participated in the program. Laura Ney and Ben Dymecki, two undergraduate certificate students, presented their study abroad experience. Laura Ney had traveled to UGA's Costa Rica campus for an internship focused on organic agriculture while Ben Dymecki had completed a semester exchange program in Vienna, Austria at BOKU, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences. Graduate student Jian Wang played the Guzheng.

Amanda Stephens received the CAES Global Citizen Award and Myra Ferrer received the Global Programs Graduate International Travel Award.
