Anyone interested in muscadine grapes, either to eat or to drink, should enjoy the Muscadine Cultivar Field Day Aug. 16 in Tifton, Ga. It starts at 11 a.m. at the Horticulture Building on the University of Georgia Tifton campus.

A picnic lunch will be at the campus vineyard. There, you can taste older cultivars and new ones being developed for fresh market and wine-making.

The UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences sponsors the field day. To sign up (so lunch can be prepared) or to learn more about the event, call (229) 386-3355.
