Editing Images
Images can be placed in the suggested grey boxes or in any other editable region of the page. After placing your cursor or double-clicking on the grey box, browse to the image file on your computer and select "open" to begin editing your image.
Images should be saved at 72 dpi and not exceed a width of 570 pixels. Be sure to enter alternate text. If the image contains text, include that text in the description for accessability.
Locating and Placing an Image
Click Edit Page to open your site for editing, then place your cursor and click in the editable area you would like to place an image.
Click Insert Image, and choose From My Computer.

Browse to your image file and click Select.

If you receive a message indicating that the image size was decreased, click OK.

You will then be prompted to enter a description for your image. Enter the description and click OK.

You may also place an image in the suggested gray box. Simply double-click on the box to bring up the Image Properties dialogue. Click browse to find your file.
Editing the Image
After placing your image, you may wish to resize or edit your image further. When you click once on your image, you should notice new toolbar items at the top.
Image Toolbar Options
Resize: activates slection handles to manually resize the image
Width: changes image width in pixels
Height: changes image height in pixels
Rotate: rotates the image 90 degress clock or counter-clockwise
Crop: trims edges
Sharpen: increases the image definition
Brightness/Contrast: Changes the image brightness or contrast
Border: adds or changes the image border
- To resize your image, click on the Resize button in the toolbar. Click the corner block of the image to resize. This way, you can keep the same size ratio.
- To move the image to the right, double-click the image to bring up the Image Properties box. Under alignment, select right align.
- To crop the image, click once on the photo and click the crop button. Drag the box over the unwanted photo area. When you are satisfied, click enter.
Other Options
You can find additional editing options (such as rotate or sharpen) in the toolbar by clicking once on the image, or you can bring up the Image Properties box by double-clicking on the image. There you may edit the image description, padding and border.
