Web Team: Services
Web Project Proposal System
Annual planning for development of Web projects is done by the College Web Team. Proposals must be submitted by October 1 to ensure consideration for the following calendar year.
Web Project Proposals will be reviewed and ranked based on potential impact and available resources. Accepted projects will be included in the annual Web Projects Plan of Work for the following calendar year. Note that other projects may also be accomplished by the Web team during the year, but projects in the Plan of Work will be given priority.
The Web team is committed to providing its clientele with the best possible Web project development services possible within our resources. The following procedure should be adhered to when Web Project Proposals are submitted.
- The client office submitting a Web Project Proposal should
review the official CAES
Web Publishing Policy and the official CAES
Web Style Guide prior to actually making the proposal.
- The client office should complete and submit the Job Request form (hosted by the Office of Communications).
Proposals must meet the following minimum criteria:- The person submitting proposal is a CAES faculty or staff member.
- The Web site will relate directly to CAES activities and programs, adhere to the college's mission, and will be solely non-profit in nature.
- The Web site will comply with standards set forth in the official CAES Web Publishing Policy and the official CAES Web Style Guide.
Proposals for non-profit professional organizations relevant to CAES activities, mission, and/or goals will be given due consideration if the proposal meets the following additional criteria:- The person submitting proposal is a member of the organization.
- The person submitting proposal is empowered by that organization to request such services.
- The Web team coordinators will automatically receive
notification of the proposal, review it and may seek verification
of certain information, if necessary. The Web team will add
resource commitment estimates to the proposal.
- Proposals will be considered and ranked by a committee following the October 1 deadline. Accepted proposals will be scheduled into the annual Plan of Work and the client office will be notified with specific instructions on how to proceed. If the proposal is rejected, the client office will be notified by e-mail with an explanation for the denial. The client office is free to contact the Web team coordinators to discuss the rejection and possible remedies and/or alternatives.
