Intranet 101
Since the release of the new site, a number of employees have expressed difficulty finding information. We'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the CAES "intranet".
An Intra-what?
A public site was developed to market the services and information provided by our college. The intranet was created to solely serve the needs of the faculty and staff of the college, by providing tools and information to college employees. Please bookmark the CAES Intranet!
What's on the intranet?
The intranet home page provides links to new resources (under the headings "All Faculty & Staff" and "Extension"), a section for internal news stories, and an overview of what you will find within its pages. The intranet currently has six major sections: Applications, Forms A-Z, College Kudos, Policies & Procedures, Resources, and Support Units.
- Applications is a central place where all CAES web based tools are listed and linked. Links to GA Counts, Impact Statements, Mail Lists, and Print-on-Demand are located here (among many more). Most of these tools require that you log-in.
- Forms A-Z is a list of forms that are referenced in the Policy Manual.
- College Kudos is an archive of stories highlighted on the main intranet page.
- Policies & Procedures references policies and procedures that affect the day-to-day operation of the college.
- Resources houses all the links that were formerly located on the CAES and CES home pages. From time to time, links from the intranet home page may be relocated here.
- Support Units lists and links to all CAES non-academic support units.
What about.....?
The CAES public and intranet sites are works in progress. We appreciate your feedback and support as more resources are added in the upcoming months.
