Velvetbean

Photo: VelvetbeanVelvetbean is a summer annual legume, slow to germinate but fast growing once established. It provides nematode control for cotton, soybeans and peanuts, as well as suppressing weeds. It has a high nitrogen fixation rate – over 200 lbs/A. Velvetbean can also be used as feed and/or forage for livestock.
