Conservation Tillage

Management

Weed Management:

Weed management has become one of the major issues in both conventional and conservation tillage systems. Conservation tillage systems has some benefits in that the residue cover has the potential of suppresing weeds by blocking sunlight, preventing seeds from getting to the soil surface and germinating. However, disturbance of the soil can active the weed seed and cause them to germinate.
