Office of Communications
About Us
Communicate-that's what we do
The members of the Office of Communications are professionals who help the faculty and staff of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences communicate with prospective students, consumers, journalists, legislators, donors, supporters, farmers, researchers and each other.
We're writers, editors, graphic designers, illustrators, marketers, strategists and producers.
We can help you decide what products you need to communicate your message and then we can help you create them.
Why we do it
We have a mission. The Office of Communications' mission is to support the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences by:
- providing leadership in delivering educational messages through all available media,
- promoting the college to build awareness and support,
- conducting applied research in the communications field, and
- teaching communications skills.
Making the message effective
If you know a specific product you want (like an exhibit) or just know you want something (like a way to market a new urban garden center), the people in the Office of Communications can help — whether you're at the Georgia Mountain Research and Education Center in Blairsville or an Extension office in Charlton County.
We can design and produce your poster, or we can work with you to pull off a smash hit of a center — everything from media releases to brochures.
The success is in the planning. Meet with us early and bring all your information.
