A Monthly Tip Sheet on
Effective Communication
Fall PSAs
Extension radio public service announcements
After a long, hot summer Georgians are ready to for the follies of fall. A set of Extension radio public service announcements for fall are posted and ready for agents to use with their local radio stations. You can find this quarter’s PSAs on-line at Marketing Extension: Resources: Public Service Announcements.
Look for new Extension radio PSAs each quarter. There is one for each program area: ANR, FACS and 4-H, plus one spot that is horticulture specific.
If you have ideas for good PSAs, send them to John Harrell at jharrell@uga.edu.

Hot Topics
Addressing critical issues
It's no secret that water is a hot topic in Georgia. It's getting hotter by the day. You can see a collection of CAES impact statements, websites, publications and news stories about Georgia's water issues and other leading issues in the Hot Topics section of the CAES Web site.
We add topics from our areas of expertise as they arise. These issue statements can be used as ideas for news stories, newsletters, speeches and talking points with local officials.
If you see a hot topic on the horizon, let us know. Email your ideas to Faith Peppers at pepper@uga.edu.
