Walk Georgia
Extension banner program
Walk Georgia is an eight week, on-line physical activity program designed to help people get active in a fun, community-oriented way. People may participate in Walk Georgia as individuals or as a team of four people. Registration begins February 18.
This is a free program open to adults, youth, families, schools, community organizations and employers. While an email address is required to register, those without one can join as part of a team given the team captain has an email address. Starting the first week of March, participants can log real time physical activity virtually at www.walkgeorgia.org. The goal is to be active, whether you walk, bike, dance or do yard work. The program concludes on April 30.
To assist counties in promoting the Walk Georgia program, OC has provided materials and resources at Marketing Extension: Resources: Walk Georgia Promotional Materials.
