In the news
Back to school stories on Georgia FACES
In July, news editors in the Office of Communications released the 2009 Back to School Special Section. This year's version of this annual collection of latest news and valuable tips for parents preparing their children for the coming school year has a new feature – a newsletter version of the stories for Extension agents to use with clients and local schools. Working with the Extension liaison to the Georgia Department of Education, the newsletter will be distributed to schools statewide.

Personnel changes
Web designers move to Office of Information Technology
The Office of Communications has experienced several changes recently. In an effort to streamline Web services for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, the four Web designers in OC, Cindy Tucker, Emily Pitts, Ruth Jarret and Robin Pratt, have been transferred into the Office of Information Technology. This merger eliminates duplication of services and administrative efforts and provides a single point of contact for clientele. The OC staff will continue to work with the Web designers on projects that involve a Web presence.
