In the news

Mass Media Friend of Extension award

The Georgia Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences recently recognized and renamed the Mass Media Friend of Extension award in honor of John Harrell. John was the college's radio voice to Georgians for more than 30 years, a fine person and dedicated community servant. He was committed to bringing Georgia radio stations daily useful news about agriculture, the environment and family and consumer sciences. Most of all, he was dedicated to the listeners who benefited from the news he delivered. We are extremely proud of the work John did over three decades on behalf of the college and the citizens we serve. John passed away on October 15, 2008.
