Based on recommendations from the CAES Web Overview Committee, the central pages for the CAES main site have been streamlined and reorganized. The home page features an updated image slider, more flexible feature content boxes, CAES news and calendar feeds, clear links to social media and a quick link for making online donations to the college.
An authoritative master calendar was developed for release in concurrence with the new CAES website. The centrally-managed master calendar will allow departments and units of the college to submit events for release on the CAES home page and other key web pages, as well as enter events that will automatically populate on their individual websites.
Web content managers assigned by their departments were trained to create, manage and update their designated websites. The new design offers an increased level of flexibility and individualization for departments and subsites. The horizontal navigation bar is customizable for each subsite.
Each department has appointed a Web Manager to ensure that their department's web content and resources are accurate and up-to-date. View list of Department Web Managers.
Updates were made to the CAES personnel directory database making it filterable for our new web presence. All personnel records displayed on the website are pulled from this authoritative source of employee data.
CAES news releases can now be easily displayed and filtered on any of our new web pages. An updated CAES News page highlights featured stories. A Media Newswire focuses on disseminating news articles from CAES and UGA Extension to the media for publication in various news outlets across the state.
