Diabetes: Selecting the Right Bites For the Holidays

“Selecting the Right Bites” class shows people affected by diabetes how to enjoy healthy food during the holiday season while controlling their diabetes. The class is a fun way to learn how to enjoy delicious food that is prepared with less fat, sugar and sodium. Managing diabetes and other chronic diseases doesn’t have to be boring or tasteless. Participants will receive handouts, recipes and a tasting.

Cooking Basics for Tweens

Join UGA Extension Chatham County and Jackie Ogden, CEC/Family and Consumer Sciences Agent for a cooking class for Tweens ages 9-12. Participants will receive a Georgia 4-H Junior Food Project Cookbook. Tweens will learn about cooking equipment, kitchen & food safety and prepare Hearty Pancakes with Apple Topping to enjoy at the end of the session.
