About the Lecture
The 2016 D.W. Brooks Lecture and Awards was held on Monday, Nov. 7 at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center at the Georgia Center in Athens, Ga. The lecture took place in Mahler Auditorium, followed by a reception and awards banquet.
2016 D.W. Brooks Guest Speaker
Roger Thurow presented the 2016 D.W. Brooks Lecture entitled, "1,000 Days to Change the World: Stories from the Fight to End Early Childhood Malnutrition." Thurow's talk was free and open to the public, with staff, faculty and students from across the university in attendance.
