Summary

Although incomes from poultry houses are relatively predictable, cash flow fluctuates year to year as a result of changes in flock production factors and economic conditions. To demonstrate this fact, this report uses data collected between 1992 and 2010 to estimate and project cash flow for a 30-year period for a typical tunnel ventilated broiler house placed in operation in 1992. As with any cost and returns analysis, these estimates are not intended to be representative of all growers’ situations.
