UGA CAES is the perfect place to experience personalized education while reaping the benefits of being connected with a large university. Students can transfer to any of the three CAES campus locations across Georgia: Athens, Griffin or Tifton. Any Bachelors degree can be completed by a transfer student. Students interested in transferring to UGA CAES must meet the following requirements.
- Athens, Griffin, and Tifton: Have graduated from high school for 1 year
- Athens: Completed 30-59 credit hours and have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA OR
- Athens, Griffin, and Tifton: Completed 60+ credit hours and have a minimum of a 2.8 GPA
Completion of an Associate's degree is encouraged. UGA maintains a core to core transfer agreement with University System of Georgia (USG) institutions and will likely accept all courses from these institutions.
To determine if specific courses will transfer, students are encouraged to use the UGA Transfer Equivalency search system. If you are not transferring from a USG institution, please check the search system to be sure completed courses will transfer.
UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences strives to meet each student's individual, educational goals and encourages students to consult with the Director of Student and Employer Engagement as early as possible to be certain pre-requisites for their chosen major are met.
