The Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame

Olin Winton Ginn

Occupation: Georgia Power Company

Accomplishments: Mr. Ginn began his career with Georgia Power Company in 1946 as a field engineer. During his 39 years with the company, he served as division rural engineer in the Macon and Athens divisions; supervisor for the Rural Division; manager and coordinator of Agriculture Development and Youth Activities; manager of the Agriculture Marketing Department; and manager of the Agribusiness Development Department. He served as chairman of the State 4-H Advisory Committee, Georgia Section of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers, the UGA Eterna Club and the State Advisory Committee for Vocational Education in Agriculture. He was president of the UGA Alumni Association, Atlanta Farmer's Club and the Georgia Agribusiness Council. He received a myriad of distinguished service awards and honorary degrees.
