The UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and several Georgia Congressional Offices  are pleased to offer several 12-week summer fellowship opportunities for students in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from May 16 - August 5, 2022. Students serve as liaisons while in Washington, D.C. Interested in learning more and applying this semester? Come visit with 2021 Congressional Ag Fellow Brooke Raniere and learn more about the application process and experiences of a Congressional Ag Fellow! Dinner will be provided! The meeting will take place in room 104 in Conner Hall at 5:30 p.m. on January 25th, 2022.

The University of Georgia, the state’s land-grant and flagship institution, is committed to sharing the latest economic projections for U.S. and state agriculture to guide farmers and agribusinesses. CAES economists provide an outlook of agricultural markets for the coming year and keynote speakers focus on important and trending topics.

From January 19-March 2, there will be four presentations from agriculture and sustainability entrepreneurs about their experiences.  This speaker series will be global in scope, touch all facets of the business cycle, and will feature speakers in the top of their fields.  January 19 - 5:00 p.m. - Leonardo Menegatti will talk about how he built his ag-tech company, InCeres, into an industry leader in Brazil. February 2 - 6:00 p.m. - Pete Oberle will talk about how his regenerative agriculture venture capital fund, Trailhead Capital, invests in new technologies.   February 16 - 6:00 p.m. - Joe Heilman will talk about how he went from early employee to general manager of Intelligent Ag Solutions, growing it into a company that was bought by AGCO in 2021.   March 2 - 6:00 p.m.- Julie Levenson, banker, lawyer, and consultant, will talk about her role in helping startups find their best exits.  All students are invited to attend these virtual seminars. Each presentation will be on Zoom.
