2013 Program Highlights
The 2013 Young Scholars Internship Program concluded on July 12, 2013. There were 31 students on the Athens campus, 29 students on the Griffin campus, and 17 students on the Tifton Campus. Following the application and interview process, 77 students emerged as the 2013 Young Scholars Program participants. Among the three campuses, 21 students were graduating seniors who will be attending a variety of colleges. We are proud to have 12 entering the University of Georgia, 8 of which will be in the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences.
The Young Scholars Program participants from the Athens campus visited many sites during the summer. They visited several departments in the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, as well as a field trip to Sandy Creek Nature Center.
